What to Expect

What Is Therapy Like?

Have you ever wondered why a 5,000 kg elephant stays tethered by a tiny chain? He stays not because the chain is strong, but because he was taught to believe it was.

Many of us wear similar "invisible" chains. These are the internal scripts often shaped by our childhoods, our education, or even well-meaning people telling us what is best for us.

The work in therapy isn't to erase the past.

It is to test the strength of those chains so you can stop letting old conclusions run the present.

If you're ready to test the strength of your chains, let's talk.

Did you know?

Therapy can actually reshape your brain.

Research shows it physically shrinks your "fear centre" (Amygdala) while strengthening your "learning centre" (Hippocampus).

Frequently Asked Questions

What is your qualification and experience?
I hold an MSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy (UK), and I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I am also a certified Expressive Arts Therapy practitioner. I have worked in mental health across three different countries and with people navigating trauma, identity, relationships, and major life transitions.
What type of therapy do you offer?
I support you using trauma-informed integrative therapy with a strong person-centred foundation. I adapt different tools to suit your personal experience.
Is everything we discuss private and confidential?
Yes. What you share stays between us. There are a few exceptions around safety, which I'll explain clearly in the first session.
What happens in the first session?
The first session is mostly about getting to know each other. We'll talk about what's been going on for you and what you're hoping therapy might help with. There's no pressure to explain everything perfectly or all at once.
What if I'm not good at talking?
If something feels hard to put into words, we can also use art, games, or simple creative tools to process emotions without the pressure of talking.
What is the first step?
We start with a free, 15-minute phone call to discuss what brings you here and see if we are a good match.

Ready to work together?

The initial call is a free, no-pressure opportunity to see if we're a good fit.
